How It’s Made and How It Works

These face masks have a two-layer construction of a cotton-blend face using SILVERbac antimicrobial technology with a non-woven polypropylene inner layer. The antimicrobial property is made when silver particles are permanently infused with polyester molecules to create a silver fiber. The new silver fibers are blended with cotton to create a yarn for weaving. These is made into the mask’s first fabric layer to inhibit the growth of odor-causing bacteria. The negatively charged bacteria are attracted to the silver’s positive charge. The silver ions then break down the cell walls and destroy the odor-causing bacteria as soon as they come in contact. The silver in these fibers are permanent and will not wear or wash out. Tested in an internationally certified microbiology laboratory and GSA compliant.
